‘Dawn of Justice’: face-off photos, Doomsday actor Robin Atkin Downes and four TV spots
Warner Bros. has released some official images from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice depicting the Caped Crusader suited up and ready for a fight against the Man of Steel with the hashtag: #BatmanvSuperman. Fans will be excited by the similarities to The Dark Knight Returns comic book.
Robin Atkin Downes, voice and motion capture actor from Batman: Bad Blood, The Strain and Star Wars: The Clone Wars has confirmed that he plays a role in bringing Doomsday to life in BvS via Twitter:
Very proud to release that I helped bring #Doomsday to life in the upcoming @BatmanvSuperman #Dreamgigs
— Robin Atkin Downes (@Robin_A_Downes) February 26, 2016
CBM notes that “In all likelihood Doomsday will probably be a VFX creation requiring several individuals to bring him to life; similar to how Andre Tricoteux provided the motion capture for Colossus on Deadpool while Stefan Kapicic provided the voice. Given Downes’ prior work history, it’s currently unclear whether Downes provided the voice, motion capture or both…”
Below are also the two recent EW covers, one for each hero: Henry Cavill as Superman and one with Ben Affleck’s Batman.
Just for fun, check out some recent footage in TV spots and teasers at the bottom.
Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before. Starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, and Holly Hunter, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder, written by Chris Terrio from David S. Goyer’s screenplay.
