David Mazouz discusses playing Bruce Wayne on ‘Gotham,’ drops hint on villains
Fans may be excited about the upcoming Batman prequel TV series, Gotham, which centers on a young Jim Gordon, but star David Mazouz is also excited.
Mazouz, popular for his role on Touch, will be playing the young, teen version of Bruce Wayne. He took out some time for an interview with The Global Dispatch/Dispatch Radio.
“I’m in a superhero show! Who doesn’t want to do that?” Mazouz says, exuding excitement about playing the younger version of Batman.
Gotham centers on the early days of Gordon, just a couple of weeks on the police force, when the Wayne’s are murdered and Gordon is forever linked to the sole survivor.
Mazouz is coy in the first part of the interview about the show before returning to the topic to discuss villains and caution fans not to make too many assumptions.
Ben McKenzie stars as Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock and Camren Bicondovaas the young Selina Kyle (Catwoman).
The series also stars Zabryna Guevara, Erin Richards, David Mazouz, and Jada Pinkett Smith.
Camp X-Ray star Cory Michael Smith was just cast as Edward Nygma, the man who goes on to become iconic Batman villain The Riddler.
Gotham premieres on Fox this fall.
