‘Dark Knight Rises’ star Juno Temple joins Angelina Jolie for ‘Maleficent’
Juno Temple is quietly building a lengthy resume, adding yet another film to follow her role in this summer’s blockbuster “The Dark Knight Rises.” Temple has signed on the re-imagining of Sleeping Beauty fairy tale as one of the pixies.
According to the THR, who reported Thursday, the young starlet will be joining the ensemble cast of “Maleficent,” which stars Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning.
The film centers on the evil sorceress (Jolie) who has cursed Aurora (Fanning) into her permanent sleep on her 16th birthday. Temple will join Imelda Staunton and Leslie Manville as three pixies who are described as “neglectful and superficial” in their care over Aurora.
Following “Rises,” where she likely a sidekick or project for Selina Kyle/Catwoman (UPDATE: photo below), the actress co-stars in the following films: The Brass Teapot, Lovelace, Truck Stop, Little Birds, and Wild Side.
“Maleficent” also stars Sharlto Copley, Miranda Richardson, Kenneth Cranham, Sam Riley, and India Eisley.
The film is set to come to theaters on March 14, 2014.
