Darion, 8-month-old child dies in Texas house fire, father tasered by police to keep him from running into fire to ‘save’ his son

A father was tased by San Antonio police while trying to save his infant boy from a house fire.

Investigators said the parents of the eight-month-old boy had dropped off their children at their grandparents’ house. Somehow, a fire got started inside the home shortly thereafter.

Darion, nicknamed ‘Fat Man,’ was still inside as everyone raced outside. Darion’s father tried to run back into the burning home to save his son but was restrained when he was shot with a Taser by San Antonio police. A spokesman for SAPD said the infant’s body had already been discovered, “and the scene was being processed when (the) male tried to forcibly enter the scene.”

Denise Henderson, Darion’s mother is devastated as her sister, Sarah Wallace told My San Antonio, “Stay strong for us.”

According to the San Antonio Fire Department, there were five adults and three children under the age of 10 who safely escaped the flames. Among the adults were Wallace’s parents: Odell Miller, who’s retired from the U.S. Army, his wife Barbara, a certified nursing assistant, the couple’s son and a daughter. Also at the home early Sunday were two of Wallace’s nephews and a niece, and Darion.

The fire started in the bedroom of the home and quickly spread, causing an estimated $90,000 in damage, according to the San Antonio Fire Department. While it’s not considered suspicious, the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

Arson is under investigation. No criminal charges have been filed.

The cop should be charged with murder… No surprise this is in California… That state just needs to be given to Europe or something, its VERY not American in any way.

I have never heard of a San Antonio, CA. I could be wrong, but I believe this happened in San Antonio, TX. Otherwise, I agree; and the spokeswoman is full of crap about having already discovered the body.
