Daniel Radcliffe talks ‘Victor Frakenstein’ as new poster and trailer arrive
A new Frankenstein film starring James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe will arrive later this year: Victor Frankenstein. The Harry Potter star spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the film and his co-star. Below is the new trailer and poster marketing the film.
“It’s about their journey and how they spur each other on towards greater and possibly more terrifying things,” Radcliffe said.
Radcliffe will star in the movie as Frankenstein’s skeptical sidekick, Igor, with McAvoy playing the famous scientist. This version is said to be more from Igor’s point of view and how he witnessed his friend Victor evolved into a monster. In fact, Radcliffe opened up in one interview about their fights.
“James is a very good physical actor and I’m very good at having beaten me out so we worked really well together,” Radcliffe said in an interview with Express. “Sometimes it is hard to get other actors to really go for it but not James.”
“He didn’t hold back and I felt it too! But it worked for those scenes and we remain good buddies,” he added.
Victor Frankenstein was directed by Paul McGuigan (Lucky Number Slevin, Push) from a script is written by Max Landis, the scribe behind Chronicle and American Ultra.
The film also stars Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey), Sherlock stars Andrew Scott and Mark Gatiss, as well as Charles Dance, Louise Brealey, Freddie Fox, Daniel May and Valene Kane.
Victor Frankenstein arrives in theaters on November 25, 2015
