‘Dallas’ season 3 set for February, with a split season fans get ‘two openers, two cliffhangers’
TNT’s Dallas will begin season three in February, entering a split season, which will take a break and return in the summer.
Seattle Pi reports that the popular drama will return without Larry Hagman on February 24 with eight episodes and then return in the summer for seven more.
“We will have two season openers and two cliffhangers,” showrunner Cynthia Cidre says. “We have tried this season to make the show more about Ewing family conflicts – secrets, lies and betrayals. And I think we have succeeded.”
Fans can expect some big events says executive producer Michael Robin.
“This is a very sexy season with a roll in the hay and several hook-ups in a hotel. And we have lots of big events: Ewing barbecues and the biggest Southfork wedding yet!”
Production on Dallas began on October 2, the first without Larry Hagman, who died one year ago.
Reportedly the production was filming a Christmas party which “spilled out” into the streets. Filming will wrap in late April, 2014.
Dallas will return on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 9/8c on TNT
