‘CSI NY’ Eddie Cahill, ‘Misfits’ Karla Crome join ‘Under the Dome’ season 2
Two new Chester’s Mill residents will be Under the Dome when the second season starts.
THR reports that CSI: NY alum Eddie Cahill and British actress Karla Crome have been cast to join the popular sci-fi drama based on the Stephen King novel.
Cahill will be joining the show as Big Jim’s brother-in-law Sam, a recluse and former EMT who can hold his own against the tyrannical Big Jim (Dean Norris) and will form a “deep connection” with Julia (Rachelle Lefevre).
TVLine’s Michael Ausiello recently reported that Sam is known to the folks in Chester’s Mill as the “crazy drunk who lives alone in the woods.”
Crome, who is making her U.S. TV debut on the show, will be heading up the class as Rebecca, an ”athletic, smart, tough and sexy” schoolteacher who grew up as an Army brat and has traveled the world.
Ausiello’s also reported that Big Jim enlists Rebecca to restore school in Chester’s Mill, but not necessarily with the younger generation’s best interests in mind.
Cahill was on CSI: NY for nine seasons and was also Tag, the younger boyfriend of Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) on the NBC sitcom Friends. He also appeared in a season six episode of the locally filmed drama Dawson’s Creek.
