Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease and the CJD Foundation on Tampa talk radio
This Sunday, Mar. 8 at 5 pm ET on the Tampa talk radio program, Outbreak News This Week Radio Show, host and Editor of the website, Outbreak News Today, Robert Herriman will be looking at the topic of prion disease and the work of the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation.
Joining him for the discussion will be Ryan Maddox, PhD, Epidemiologist with the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Dr. Maddox coordinates nationwide surveillance of human prion diseases, including Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.
In addition, Herriman will be talking to Debbie Yobs, President of the CJD Foundation.
The topics will cover the basics of prions, the various prion diseases including the differences between Classic CJD and vCJD, information of diagnostics and the great work of the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation.
