CPAC free speech breakout panel canceled: Pamela Geller refused to remove ‘fake news’ king Jim Hoft

Conservative commentator Pamela Geller revealed on Breitbart News Daily on Wednesday morning that her panel on free speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) had been canceled because she refused to remove Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit as a participant.

“Late last night, I received a call … demanding that I remove one of the speakers from the panel. I would not do this. I told them it was unconscionable that a panel on free speech — I mean, it’s, I don’t know if anybody sees the irony, and this just happened — and I’m sorry, I’m breaking it on the show, actually,” Geller said.

The panel was announced on Tuesday by Breitbart News, sponsored by American Principles Project (APP) in coordination with CPAC, set for a breakout session at the conference Friday afternoon.

Geller said that she had been asked to exclude Hoft after a post at Gateway Pundit on the Parkland shooting in Florida last week. The site has published several posts criticizing the students who are advocating for gun control.

“They know me. They know I would never remove a panelist, particularly because of some position they have, or something that they said. And they were unmovable, and so the panel has been canceled, the social media censorship panel has been canceled.”

Hoft’s Gateway Pundit has been repeatedly wrong, labeled as fake news, in their efforts to blindly support President Trump.

The Pundit doesn’t deny ties to George Soros money, writing about the fall of the panel: “During the election The Gateway Pundit was the fourth most influential conservative news source.
Following the 2016 election Harvard and Columbia Journalism Review funded research (with money from the Soros Open Society) to find out what happened.”

They added: “Since the election The Gateway Pundit has been continually blocked and shadow-banned by Facebook, shadow-banned by Twitter, sued and ridiculed by the far left and GOP elites.
Despite this our traffic continued to grow in 2017.”
