Colorado woman, Bionca Rogers, surrenders in Iowa for murder of Grant Frazier
The woman sought by authorities for the death of a Colorado Springs man has surrendered in Iowa.
Bionca Rogers, age 21, turned herself in to law enforcement authorities in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Wednesday and is being held without bond.
The El Paso County District Attorney’s Office is coordinating with officials in Iowa to get Rogers extradited back to Colorado Springs.
Grant Frazier, age 61, was found dead after being missing from Colorado for more than one week. Early Tuesday morning, there was a tragic discovery made 700 miles away when Frazier’s body inside his own car.
Frazier’s white 2009 Mitsubishi Galant with Colorado plates was parked outside the Courtyard apartment complex in Newton, Iowa. That’s about 30 miles east of Des Moines.
The cause and manner of 61-year-old Grant Frazier’s death will be released once an autopsy is complete.
Rogers has an unrelated warrant from Feb. 15 in El Paso County for carrying a concealed weapon and child abuse, according to court records.
Public records also show that Rogers has a criminal history spanning two years in Iowa that includes disorderly conduct and assault. Rogers’ Facebook page lists Iowa City, Iowa, as her home.
