Cobie Smulders talks ‘Captain America Winter Soldier,’ Agent Hill and appearing on SHIELD TV show
From “The Avengers” to “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to be key in the Marvel Universe. “How I Married Your Mother” star Colbie Smulders will be reprising her role as Agent Maria Hill in “Cap 2” but even the actress doesn’t have a ton of details to share.
Smulders told I Am Rogue, “I’ve seen parts of it, but yeah I don’t know much. This is Marvel! They don’t let you know anything. It’s very watermarked scripts, heavily watermarked,” she explained. “Yeah, they don’t let you know like the day of, but they are very secretive and I think they are still figuring stuff out. I don’t know the exact dates [filming begins]. I know it’s sometime in March or June.”
Additionally, she also spoke about the possibility of playing Maria Hill in the TV series S.H.I.E.L.D. and if she plans to continue portraying the character in the future, “The commitments to [How I Met Your Mother] don’t affect it. And I can’t really say, but there are definite talks about it,” she said, adding “Oh yeah! I’m very excited. I will do Maria Hill until they fire me and hire someone else to do it.”
