CNN Contributor questions when is Disney going to have ‘kid’s film where the princess marries a princess’
CNN Contributor and Daily Beast columnist Sally Kohn took to twitter while and after watching their hit film Frozen, asking when will Disney include lesbian relationships in their kids’ films.
“Watching Frozen, it’s awesome,” the CNN contributor and Daily Beast columnist tweeted. “But come on @DisneyPictures ain’t it finally time for a kid’s film where the princess marries a princess?!”
This followed with a second tweet, confirming her question for Disney.
“Finished Frozen. Glad Anna ends up w ice dude, not prince. & saves herself. Still, would luv to see full range of families in kids movies.”
This was met with support from MSNBC host Toure.
“@sallykohn Love is love. – @Tourre
Disney received some backlash as their show Good Luck Charlie added a lesbian couple in the final episodes of the show.
Like all Disney Channel programming, it was developed to be relevant to kids and families around the world and to reflect themes of diversity and inclusiveness,” the spokesperson said of the decision to add the gay couple to the show.
The network was also careful in the planning of the episode saying, “This particular storyline was developed under the consultancy of child development experts and community advisors.”

Hopefully never. We don’t need anymore credence given to a relationship that is based on perversion. Keep it in the gutters where it belongs, and not in kids’ movies.
Fine with me.
