Clearwater mom, Dawn Brown, and her two children dead in murder suicide
Clearwater residents are shocked as a mother has murdered her two children before killing herself.
According the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call shortly after 2 a.m. and they discovered Dawn Brown, age 34, and two children, ages 5 and 9, dead.
Deputies are investigating the crime as a double murder suicide. Investigators say it is believed that Brown took the lives of her two children and then hung herself, utilizing an electrical cord, from a bedroom ceiling fan.
Dawn Brown and her two sons, 9-year-old Zander and 5-year-old Zayden, dead in the house.
The children’s cause of death will be released pending an autopsy.
The investigation continues.
