Christy Nockels interview: first live worship album, Passion conference, making music

Christy Nockels’ first live worship album is set to drop at the end of April and the Christian music artist spoke with Dispatch Radio about the new music, reflecting on the process as well as The Passion Conferences and working with her husband, Nathan, who produced the album, Let It Be Jesus.

“It’s really different. It’s a different mentality,” Christy begins when explaining recording the live album versus her previous two studio albums.

She reveals the creative process for the songs, the sense of relief which came with planning a live album and the volunteers who joined her at her home church to record the music.

Christy Nockels Let it be Jesus worship album“Everything fell into place. We have some amazing guys who play with us,” Christy says before offering up her “biased” praise for her husband as producer.

Christy then analyzes the music: tracks that came alive, tracks that didn’t make the cut and and overall review of what fans can expect from Let It Be Jesus, which is available on April 28.

Let It Be Jesus was recorded live at Passion City Church in Atlanta and Christy compares the experience to leading worship at the Passion Conference. Check out a clip from the event below, a likely preview of new music.
