Christopher Nolan confirms Batman 3 as ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ NO Riddler

Christopher Nolan revealed to the L.A. Times’ Hero Complex that the third Batman film will be titled The Dark Knight Rises.

Nolan finally let the cat out of the bag and put rumors to rest revealing some news about the next villain: “It won’t be The Riddler.”

Hopefully recently cast Tom Hardy will be playing another villain perhaps Black Mask, maybe. UPDATE: Hardy is playing Bane.

Nolan also told the L.A. Times: “We’ll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we’ll be introducing some new ones,” Nolan also pointed out that the film will NOT be filmed in 3D instead they will just use high-definition and IMAX cameras.

“We want the look and feel of the film to be faithful to what has come before in the first two films. There was a large canvas and operatic sweep to The Dark Knight and we want to make a film that will carry on with that look and feel.”

Batman 3, which will, Nolan said to Screen Rant,“complete a story that has begun. This is not starting over, this is not rebooting. We’re finishing something, and keeping a consistency with what’s come before has real value.”

Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman are expected back to reprise their roles from the first two Nolan Batman films.

Expect more news as production is set to start soon.
