Chris Pratt may follow ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ with ‘Jurassic World’

With casting underway, surprising news has come that Josh Brolin has not signed on for Jurassic World and now the studio may be stealing from the Marvel Universe.

Chris Pratt, who plays the lead character in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy film, is rumored to be the top choice for the lead role according to The Wrap.

jurassic-world-logoThe article notes that “discussions are still in the very early stages, as Pratt would have to navigate the Jurassic shooting schedule with that of his TV series Parks and Recreation — provided it gets renewed by NBC…”

Pratt is the lead in Guardians as Star-Lord.

Director Colin Trevorrow is heading the project offering few details at this point.

Trevorrow calls the film “two years out” which cements expectations of a 2015 release date. It’s going to be a crowded year for this kind of big movie, but Jurassic Park is a big franchise.

“This is not a paycheck gig for me and it’s not the movie that I’m making so I can make the movies that I really want to make. I actually want to make a kick-ass Jurassic Park movie.”

Guardians of the Galaxy opens August 1, 2014.

Jurassic World was thought to be opening in 2015, but may be delayed.
