Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston featured as Thor and Loki teamup in latest ‘Thor The Dark World’ teaser

Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston will be returning as Thor and Loki for this year’s sequel to Thor.

This time, the pair is forced to join forces to battle the Dark Elves, led by Malekith.

Thor: The Dark World continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and Marvel’s The Avengers, Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Director Alan Taylor revealed that he had returned to shoot extra footage with Hiddleston for the movie.

“It was just we realized how well Loki was working in the movie, and we wanted to do more with him,” he explained.

Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins will also return for the new film alongside newcomers Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Zachary Levi.

Thor: The Dark World will be released on November 8, 2013
