The body found in a suitcase left in a Roseland, Illinois alley over the weekend has been identified as a 21-year-old woman from West Pullman.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said the victim has been identified as Dominique Ferguson. The young woman’s body was found inside a red suitcase found near trash cans in an alley around 2 p.m. Sunday.
An autopsy conducted Monday was inconclusive, pending further investigation.
Some media reports said the body was found stuffed in a suitcase by teenagers playing in the area.
Area South detectives were conducting a death investigation.
