Charlie Crist leads Rick Scott in Florida Governor race, Libertarian Adrian Wyllie left out of poll
Former Florida Governor Charlie Crist has a 7-point lead over incumbent Governor Rick Scott (R) in the 2014 Florida gubernatorial race, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday. No other third parties candidates were mentioned in the poll despite a 10% showing by the libertarian earlier in 2013.

The poll shows the margin shrinking for Crist who is now ahead 47-40.
“Scott does not deserve to be reelected, voters say 53 – 37 percent. Saying no to four more years are Democrats, 83 – 9 percent, and independent voters, 56 – 36 percent. Republicans say yes 70 – 20 percent. Women say no, 57 – 32 percent, and men agree, 49 – 43 percent,” states the release.
Party lines are well defined by the poll with Scott winning the GOP 80-11, Crist the Dems 86-4 and Crist narrowly edging ahead of Scott with independents 44-41.
Florida voters are divided 46 – 46 percent on whether Crist’s party shifts are positive or negative.
“And he is planning on spending tens of millions of dollars on television adds to make that argument. This will be an intensely negative campaign on both sides. The survivor will be the candidate voters dislike least on Election Day.”
Quinnipiac surveyed 1,646 registered voters from Nov. 12-17 with a margin of error of +/- 2.4 percentage points. The survey includes 544 Democrats with a margin of error of +/- 4.2 percentage points
