California schools tell parents they cannot pull their kid from LGBT, gender identity sex education

Orange County Department of Education general counsel Ronald Wenkart sent a shocking message to parents: they cannot get their children excused from all of the sex education lessons, including material on “gender, gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation.”

“Parents who disagree with the instructional materials related to gender, gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation may not excuse their children from this instruction,” read the memorandum from Ronald Wenkart to the Orange County Board of Education.

“However, parents are free to advise their children that they disagree with some or all of the information presented in the instructional program and express their views on these subjects to their children,” Wenkart wrote after his legal review of the California Healthy Youth Act.

According to the law, students can be excused from the comprehensive sexual health education portion of the law. The response clarifies that exemption does not apply to “instructions, materials or programming that discusses gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, discrimination, harassment, bullying, intimidation, relationships, or family and does not discuss human reproductive organs and their functions.”

Fox News’ Todd Starnes was shocking, stating that “the idea that parents do not have the constitutional right to determine what is best for their child is downright evil. Yes, evil.”

“The Orange County Department of Education feels it is their right to GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO DISAGREE WITH THEM. These are our children! They do not belong to the schools,” mom Heidi St. John online.

The state-approved “tool kit” for the course includes topics about lubricants, anal sex and sex toys.

“What if you don’t have time or money to buy sex toys?” the guide reads on page C-51. “Cucumbers, carrots, and bananas (with the peel) make great dildos. Just remember to use a condom!”

This is how the “tool kit” defines abstinence in a section on terms.

Abstinence – some people use the word “abstinence” to refer to
not having sex. They may mean that they are not doing any
sexual activities with another person at all. It can also mean that
they are doing some sexual activities, just not having vaginal
intercourse.
Periodic Abstinence – when someone decides to take a break from
sex. People can decide to take a break from sex for a few days or
a few years.
Sexual Self-Reliance – when you rely on yourself to make yourself
feel sexually satisfied. This is often through masturbation. Relying
on yourself is different from relying only on a partner for
sexual pleasure. You can use self-exploration and masturbation
to get to know your body and show your partner what you like.
Being

Abstinence is listed LAST on the safe sex list, noting that it is the “Only definite way to prevent pregnancy and STIs” but “Requires motivation, selfcontrol
and communication from both partners. Only works if it is used 100% of the time.”

Regardless of how graphic your school may get, you need to know that LGBT/transgender issues ABSOLUTELY WILL be required curriculum content.
