California man, Joshua Cooper, arrested for child cruelty after biting off infant son’s nose
A Fairfield, California infant admitted to the Doctors at Oakland Children’s Hospital is currently in stable condition after suffering a skull fracture, a brain hemorrhage, and one third of the child’s nose had been severed off.
The 18-year-old father of the child has been arrested and booked for Child Cruelty and Aggravated Mayhem.
According to the Fairfield Police Department, they received a call Thursday morning from a woman who claimed her infant child was bleeding from his nose.
When police arrived they found the one-month-old infant bleeding from the face.
There were several people in the house to include the father, the 17-year-old mother and other family.
The criminal investigation determined that the infant’s father, Joshua Cooper, had bitten the child’s nose off out of frustration from the infant crying. The investigation continues to determine how the infant sustained the skull fracture and brain hemorrhage.
