California Elk Grove man Abdul Basier Hashimi guilty for trafficking girl since she was 13, met on Tagged

A California man in Elk Grove struck a plea deal to sex trafficking of a minor on Friday.

Abdul Basier Hashimi

The Department of Justice reported that Abdul Basier Hashimi, 26, confessed to meeting a girl on Tagged.com in 2014, when she was thirteen. After a few months, the victim ran away and lived with Hashimi.

The man began prostituting her in Sacramento, Oakland and other locations in Northern California.

Hashimi used backpage.com ads, rented hotel rooms and forced the teen to walk/work the streets, offering sexual acts. Court records say she gave all of her earnings to him.

The underage victim was also forced to have sex with Hashimi.

Hashimi has yet to be sentenced, but faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

The man was arrested on domestic violence, assault, probation violation, and police resistance charges.

Elk Grove police spokesperson Christopher Trim reported that officers contacted Hashimi while investigating the collision. The suspect allegedly refused to cooperate with them and became aggressive.

Trim said that Hashimi pulled away when police tried to detain him.

Authorities learned the suspect was on probation and they later heard that he earlier drove into the victim’s car while she was standing five feet away. She then fled for her safety, Trim said. Hashimi reportedly crashed into a fixed object while she was leaving.

Help spread the word and stop Islamification of our country.
