Bryan Adams, Florida man high on meth, attempts exorcism on son
A Florida dad high on crystal meth dragged his “demon” son into the woods so he could perform an exorcism on him, police said.
Bryan Adams allegedly broke into his estranged wife’s home and kidnapped his son, age 11, still in pajamas, in the middle of the night Thursday – around 3 am.
Adams “marched” the boy into the woods, he reportedly screamed at his son: “You are the demon, you are the demon. I know what I must do with you.”
Adams’ former girlfriend, age 31, heard enough of the commotion and dialed 911.
Okeechobee County police arrived and a K9 soon found the pair hiding on the ground in thick vegetation. Police grabbed the boy as Adams raced into the brush.
Adams started punching a deputy in the chest while repeatedly hollering, “I have to stop the demons. I have to do it” when they captured him.
Showing what was later described as “an abnormal strength,” he then smacked the police dog as he was being tasered on the ground, authoritites say.
Adams was only stopped after Deputy Mark Margerum “punched him” in the face five times, reports WPBF.
Arrested and facing charges of child abuse, resisting arrest and aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, Adams is now being held at Okeechobee County jail on $170,000 bond. The boy was physically unharmed.
