Bruce Jenner attacked after coming out, as a Republican

Bruce Jenner was blasted online after revealing during a two-hour interview that he identifies himself as a Christian Republican and a woman. Of course, the most heinous discourse is his conservative leanings.

When asked by ABC’s Diane Sawyer if he considers himself to be a Republican, the Olympic athlete answered “yes” and added that he has “always been more on the conservative side.”

“Ew Bruce Jenner is so gross….he’s a Republican,” wrote one user on Twitter.

Another sounded the same, adding “I can’t believe you’d admit to that way of life. That’s disgusting….I mean, republican?”

Tons of supporters over Jenner’s sexual identity confessions, until he said he was a member of the GOP – The Blaze has some screenshots here.

Log Cabin Republicans national executive director Gregory T. Angelo issued a statement supporting Jenner.

“As the nation’s only organization representing LGBT conservatives and straight allies, Log Cabin Republicans congratulates Bruce Jenner in the tremendous courage he demonstrated tonight, being true to himself both in terms of his personal identity as well as his political identity. There is a home for you in Log Cabin Republicans — as there is for all lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, and transgender conservatives and straight allies,” Angelo said.

During the interview, Jenner revealed that “for all intents and purposes, I am a woman.”
