Brooke Jackson identified in Lynwood murder suicide, stabbed by husband Dennis Jackson who then shot himself
Authorities in California have identified the victims in a Lynwood murder suicide as Brooke Jackson and her husband, Dennis Jackson.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Information Bureau provided more details after Brooke, 40, was identified Sunday by the Coroner’s Office.
Sheriff’s Deputy Morgan Arteaga explained that police deputies responded about 8:45 a.m. Friday in the 4200 block of Carlin Avenue to discover Brooke Jackson dead, stabbed multiple times in the upper-body while her children were home by Dennis Jackson, 47.
Dennis Jackson was found dead with a gunshot wound to his upper body – both were pronounced dead at the scene.
“The preliminary investigation revealed that the male and female were married with two juvenile children, a 12-year-old male, and an 11-year-old female,” Arteaga said. “It appears that the male, who is being classified as the suspect, stabbed the female victim to death, before shooting himself.”
Arteaga repeated that the teens were both at home during the ordeal, but didn’t elaborate.
There was no motive confirmed at this time. Police do not believe there is any threat to the public.
