Bradley Cooper discusses Rocket Raccoon, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ praises Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana

While promoting David O. Russell’s American Hustle Bradley Cooper discussed his upcoming role in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.

Talking with Collider the Hangover explained he even got involved with the project.

Voicing the Raccoon has some challenges.

“You know, one thing we debated was how he’s seen as [having] a cockney accent sometimes. So we talked about whether we’d do that or do this sort of other guy from the city a little bit.”

Cooper goes on to praise his co-stars.

“Chris Pratt is unbelievable and Zoe [Saldana] is great, she’s always great. Chris Pratt just blew me away. I thought he’s just like the perfect guy.”

The film stars Pratt, Saldana, David Bautista, Glenn Close, Michael Rooker, Lee Pace and John C. Reilly. Vin Diesel is also on board to voice work for the character Groot.

Directed by Gunn and co-starring Benicio del Toro and Karen Gillan, Guardians Of The Galaxy will open in theaters on August 1, 2014
