Bolshoi Ballet’s ‘The Nutcracker’ comes to theaters on December 18 for a special screening

Fathom Events will screen the Bolshoi Ballet’s The Nutcracker on Sunday, bringing the classic to audiences ahead of Christmas.

On Christmas Eve, Marie’s wooden nutcracker doll transforms into a beautiful prince who takes her on a magical journey. Before they leave, they must confront the Mouse King whose army is threatening Marie. Christmas would not be complete without the enchanting tale of young Marie and her Nutcracker prince! Danced by the Bolshoi’s principals, E.T.A. Hoffmann’s fairytale staged by Russian ballet master Yuri Grigorovich will transport children and adults alike to a world of magic and wonder for the holiday season.

WHAT: The timeless holiday classic that has enchanted audiences for generations comes to the big screen for one special showing on Sunday, December 18 at 12:55 p.m. (local time), performed and captured live from the Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow, Russia.

Set to Tchaikovsky’s beloved score and danced by the Bolshoi’s principals, E.T.A. Hoffmann’s fairytale staged by Russian ballet master Yuri Grigorovich after Marius Petipa, will transport children and adults alike to a world of magic and wonder for the holiday season.
