This classic rivalry between the Capulets and the Montagues is transformed from the famous romantic love affair between Romeo and Juliet in an eloquent and lovely ballet.

William Shakespeare’s timeless story is captured with breathtaking choreography and Sergei Prokofiev’s much-loved score. With its famous melodies, rhythmic variety and universal theme, this story of impossible love remains an all-time favorite, and is one of the world’s most popular ballets.

Nothing can be taken away from the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Russia, catapulting the audience to Verona Italy. This is truly a beautiful ballet without the emphasis on sword fights and poison – that is left for the audience to extrapolate in their imaginations.

The death of Tybalt and the final crypt scene are truly awesome and should be seen by any fan of the play or ballet in general.
