Boko Haram Killed 15 Soldiers and took Military Base in Nigeria

(International Christian Concern) –Late Friday evening, Boko Haram attacked a military base in Northeast Nigeria. During the attack, they killed at least 15 soldiers and injured more than 20 others. The rest of the unit that was stationed there fled to another base. This means that Boko Haram has again gained back ground in Nigeria.

Not only did they take ground, and kill many soldiers, but the group stole military equipment to include heavy machine guns and several Toyota Hilux trucks. This just adds to there already formidable strength, as they have been able to take several other military bases and push the military off of territory.

ISWAP, the ISIS backed faction of Boko Haram, has already claimed the attack. They have been very active in recent months, attacking military and government compounds and gaining territory. They are also the group that kidnapped more than 100 girls from the town of Dapchi, Nigeria.
