Bernie Sanders says America founded on ‘racist principles’ ignoring Democrats ties to KKK
Monday at at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders said America was founded on “racist principles,” but as the election of the first African-American President Barack Obama shows we have come a long way.
Sanders was asked, “If you sir, were elected president, what would you do to bring healing and resolution to the issue of racism in our country. We both want to see that go away. What steps would you begin to take if you were our leader to begin to see that result.?”
Sanders said, “That is an excellent question. I thank you fort it. I would hope and I believe that every person in this room today understands that it is unacceptable to judge people, to discriminate against people based on the color of their skin. And I would also say that as a nation– the truth is, that a nation which in many ways was created, and I’m sorry to have to say this, from way back on racist principles, that’s a fact– we have come a long way as a nation.”
He added, “Now I know, my guess is that probably not everybody here is an admirer or voted for Barack Obama. But the point is, in 2008 this country took a huge step forward in voting for a candidate based on his ideas and not the color of his skin.”
Critics, such as Alex Jones, pointed out that Sanders has no problem seeking a presidential nomination from the Democratic Party which spawned the KKK.
“Founded in 1866 as a Tennessee social club, the Ku Klux Klan spread into nearly every Southern state, launching a ‘reign of terror‘ against Republican leaders black and white,” noted historian Eric Foner wrote in his book Reconstruction: America’s Unfinished Revolution.
“In the time leading up to the 1868 presidential election, the Klan’s activities picked up in speed and brutality,” PBS’ American Experience reported. “The election, which pitted Republican Ulysses S. Grant against Democrat Horatio Seymour, was crucial.”
“Republicans would continue programs that prevented Southern whites from gaining political control in their states; Klan members knew that given the chance, the blacks in their communities would vote Republican.”
More recently, the late Democratic Sen. Robert Byrd served as a top-level Klan leader and recruiter.
“ABC News noted that ‘despite his successful political track record, the Senate’s senior Democrat was no stranger to controversy and was once a member of the Ku Klux Klan,’ as if calling for the extermination of dark-skinned peoples (as well as Jews, Catholics, and gays) was no more stirring a gaffe than Gary Hart’s monkey business,” the Daily Caller’s Mike Riggs pointed out.
True that southern Democrats were what the writer states but where are they now? In the Republican Party. They just changed labels, not politics or ideology.
Just part of the myth still thrown around as fact by Democrats.

The modern Democrat is the racist, always telling black conservatives that the need to get back in line or be called an “Uncle Tom” (or worse). America is worse for the black community AFTER President Obama than when he took office – every category (unemployment, wages, black on black crime etc…)
Good luck peddling your nonsensical lie somewhere else
Bernie Sanders is a liberal & JEW .. I mean look at above picture – do you really think he looks Presidential?
The Jews are the most segregated group here in America, yet want the GOY ( non Jews )to have miscegenation!
