Ben Shapiro takes down Olivia Wilde, her exploitation of pregnancy and the abortion arguments

Tron: Legacy co-star Olivia Wilde recently sent shocked social media and various circles when she appeared in a video, pregnant, saying she would be voting for abortion in November because she’s “literally about to have a baby.”

Wilde echoed the Democratic talking point of abortion being a “basic human right” shocking and disgusting folks who attacked the actress for using her pre-born baby as a shill for the pro-abortion movement.

Ben Shapiro took on Wilde’s comments for a segment on “The Ben Shapiro Show,” where he utterly destroyed every pro-abortion argument that the abortion lobby likes to use.

“This is about as perverse a notion as I could possibly imagine,” he said. “That as you’re about to have your child, you’re thinking, ‘boy, wouldn’t it be great if I could still kill this thing?’”

Shapiro then warned viewers about what they were about to see: “This is going to be mildly graphic,” he said, “but it’s important, because I’m sick of euphemisms. It’s not aborting a fetus; it’s not getting rid of a ball of tissue.”

Wilde and abortion supporters want women to be allowed to have an abortion anytime they want, even moments before birth. They do so in the name of “human rights,” which Shapiro completely dismisses, saying no one has the “right” to kill another human being.

He then used an actual picture of one of abortionist Kermit Gosnell’s victims to drive the point home.

Shapiro pointed out that these are fully-formed children. Abortion kills these children out of convenience.

“The idea that you get to murder a kid… no one has a ‘right to choose’ this,” he said. “No one. No one. No one has a ‘right’ to choose this — that’s a baby — you don’t get to kill it just because it’s convenient to you. You don’t have a right to say, ‘It’s my decision to decide where and when and how to have the baby.’ That’s an individual human being, and if that baby were outside the womb and you stuck a knife through its chest, you’d be charged with first-degree murder. You kill it in the womb, and we call it a ‘human right.’ That’s not a ‘human right,’ because that’s a human and that human doesn’t have any rights because you just decided its rights are less important than your right to your own convenience.”

“This is not a matter of a ‘women’s right to choose,’” Shapiro said. “A slave owner didn’t get to ‘choose’ to hold slaves; Nazis didn’t get to ‘decide’ which Jews got to live. And don’t give me the, ‘it’s legal, therefore it’s okay.’ Lots of things were legal; lots of things in human history have been legal that were totally evil.”

I think he can discuss his feelings on abortion when he has to make that decision for himself which is never. I am sick of men saying women are too immoral to make decisions on what to do do with their own internal organs. Not everyone has the same religion, not everyone sees abortion as a “sin”. But if you do there is a provision for no forced abortions, there is also a provision for those of us who have a different religion not to be forced to get pregnant or stay pregnant. Keep your misogyny at your church and quit parading it around like it is an American virtue.

    • Roxie says:

Internal organ? It’s not a baby?

      Forced to get pregnant?

Donald Trump isn’t going to drop out of the race. Let’s see how the GOP likes being forced to carry something to term.

    • AliciosYour Name... says:

The baby is not your internal organ. Your line of thought is so flawed. That is an independent life. I do not believe you have the right to kill someone else, at the very minimum. What is scary is that your type of women and people got so materialistic that you lost feelings like that.

OMG get a life dude – forgive the slight pun – human life has no value other than what we choose to apply – proven many times over the centuries – we have 7 billions of humans on the planet -so where do you propose we stop? Her body is HER body not yours – your religious values are yours -not hers – if you are so dedicated to human life get off your butt and adopt

    • Brandon Jones says:

No value than what we choose to apply? So Hitler was justified for his mass extermination because he chose to apply no value to the millions of Jews, Christians and gays he executed?

BTW, We’d love to adopt more so join the movements to gut the red tape and make that more affordable and not about lawyers and fees

    • Pete says:

The bible clearly states that the mother’s life has more value than that of a fetus. It’s completely inarguable. Exodus 21:22-23. If a woman his hit while two men are fighting, and she miscarries because of it, the offender is fined what the husbands thinks is appropriate. If, on the other hand, the woman is injured, then it’s an “eye for an eye”.

You really need to read it in the original Hebrew, because most of the translations into English leave ambiguities about who the subject of the last sentence is. But it’s absolutely clear in the original Hebrew.

Also, Jewish belief, at least at the time, was that the fetus is not endowed with a soul at conception, but at some point after conception but before birth, though not specifics of the time are given.

      • Brandon Jones says:

We don’t live by Old Testament law, Jesus fulfills it. You can’t apply those principles in the same way. God sees value in all life, even in the womb.

For example, in Luke 1, John the Baptist is mentioned to be filled with God’s Holy Spirit while still in the womb: v 5 “He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.”

Later when Mary visits Elizabeth, John’s movement in the womb is mentioned: v44 “For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.”

Just ahead of that, speaking of Jesus as a unborn: v 42 “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!”

If this hollow, empty group of cells was not important to God, then it makes no sense that it would be mentioned in his Holy Word.

In fact, the Exodus verse shows value in the loss of child, injury worthy of “lawsuit” by their edicts of the day. There is no condoning the killing of the unborn child for your own selfish reasons.
