‘Beauty and the Beast’ footage reveals Emma Watson, Luke Evans and Josh Gad

Disney’s D23 showcased the first footage from Disney’s live action Beauty and the Beast, which stars Emma Watson as Belle and Downton Abbey alum Dan Stevens as The Beast.

“Bringing Belle to life for me has been a complete dream come true,” said Watson via video message and fans went crazy for the iconic shot of the Harry Potter star in the gold dress, coming down stairs to dance with Beast.

“We have had an unbelievable time shooting beauty and the beast. It has been a complete dream come true. I can’t wait for the film to release in 2017,” Watson said.

Luke Evans is playing the villain Gaston with Frozen star Josh Gad as his sidekick LeFo and fans got to see the duo in action, singing Gaston.

It was revealed that there will be two news songs by Alan Menken.

Directed by Bill Condon, BATB will bring to life Lumiere and Cogsworth with Ian McKellen (Gandalf in the LOTR and Hobbit films) and Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan in the three Star Wars prequels) as voice actors.

Other voice actors/stars are Stanley Tucci, Emma Thompson, Kevin Kline, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sonoya Mizuno, Hattie Morahan, Audra McDonald,Nicole O’Neill and Henry Garrett.

Beauty and the Beast is set for a March 17, 2017 release date.
