In the Philippines, Taco Bell has rolled out the Bacon First Meal. As the website, Brand Eating reports, “Just like the name suggests, each item on the menu features bacon, including a Bacon Soft Taco, which is like a regular Taco Bell Soft Taco but with bacon instead of seasoned ground beef. Specifically, it’s lettuce, shredded cheese, and bacon nestled inside of a folded soft flour tortilla.”

Taco Bell on the archipelago, like here in the states, is under the same umbrella as Kentucky Fried Chicken. KFC Philippines is notorious for trying  new cheesy concoctions–see here and here.

A lot closer to home is what the burger chain, Jack in the Box is doing with bacon.

Today they introduced the “Bacon Insider”, the first beef/bacon-blend burger patty from a major burger chain.

Burger Business describes it like this:

The bacon’s not just inside the patty. Nestled above and below the patty are half strips of hickory-smoked bacon (a total of six) and there are schmears of bacon mayo sauce on top and below.

Love bacon? Dig in.
