‘Arrow’ star Stephen Amell joins ‘TMNT 2’ as Casey Jones
Stephen Amell has been cast as Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel, joining Megan Fox, Will Arnett in the second new film, this time directed by David Green.
Jones is a fan favorite loner and witty brute who wears a hockey mask while taking up arms against bad guys alongside the turtles.
Michael Bay is producing with Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec penning the script.
“Amell tested with a half-dozen actors over the weekend, but it was his chemistry with Fox that led to the studio eventually giving the role to the star of CW’s Arrow. Paramount had no comment on the casting,” noted Variety in breaking the news.
Amell tweeted a photo of the comic book character saying: “Somebody find me a hockey mask!!! #TMNT2” — @amellywood
