Armando Leduc interview: ‘When the Game Stands Tall’ Will Smith ‘Focus’ ‘Bourbon Whiz’
The true story of De La Salle football comes to life in When the Game Stands Tall and actor Armando Leduc discusses his role and experience with Dispatch Radio in an exclusive interview. Armando also co-stars in the upcoming Will Smith comedy Focus and discusses his brainchild Bourbon Whiz which is headed to DISH.
Armando plays the Long Beach Poly coach Raul Lara and talks about playing a real person for the first time and then detailed the experience on set, the grueling field temperature for the “big game” and working with his co-stars.
Coming next year, Armando co-stars with Will Smith in Focus as “one his marks” named Diego. The comedy also stars Margot Robbie, Rodrigo Santoro and he shares some fun stories, including “singing show tunes with Will Smith.”
Last Spring Break is another project, finding success at film festivals, but Leduc was truly elated to preview Bourbon Whiz.
Imagine if Dorothy didn’t land in Oz, but ended up on Bourbon Street and all of the songs were adapted accordingly, he explains. After winning some film festival awards, the project is headed to the DISH network and episode 10 is set to go into production.
Most actors open up about somevadvice or a mentor to their career and Armando didn’t hold back, praising James DuMont as a “consummate professional” who is his “mentor and friend.”
