Arizona: Curtis Oliver identified as dead body in trunk of ‘burnt out car’

An Arizona man has been identified by Pima County authorities as the dead body found in the trunk of a “burnt-out car” a little over a week ago near Marana.

County Sheriff’s officials announced Monday that the victim was Curtis W. Oliver, 57, of Mesa. A sedan was reported on fire back on August 23, near Waterman Mountain Road. Avra Valley Fire firefighters opened the car’s trunk and human remains were found inside.

Sheriff’s officials say they’re looking to question two persons of interest in the case — a man and woman who may be living in the Phoenix metro area:  43-year-old Douglas Aukerman and 29-year-old Deanna Huber.

Authorities believe they live in the Phoenix/Mesa are and are driving a silver/gray 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser, Arizona license plate 931-YLL.

Expect news to follow quickly as police have now circulated the images of Huber and Aukerman.
