Are You Being Short Sighted? How Your Website Could Be Letting You Down

Your website is a huge part of your business, after all, so much is done online these days that to have no online existence could be detrimental to your business future. But creating and maintaining your website isn’t a job that is done in one go, it’s something that needs to be nurtured and improved upon to ensure that it works just as hard for you in the digital world, as you have worked in creating your business in the realistic form. But how do you ensure that your website is doing everything it should be? Are you being short sighted about your online presences and growth? So I thought I would share with you how your site could be letting you down and a few pointers on how you can avoid them.

It isn’t easy to use

It’s a reality that there are that many websites and information online these days that if your site isn’t user-friendly you will lose interest of the person doing all the clicks. But don’t threat, you just need to spend some time to ensure your website is easy to use. A good menu option is key and ensure that your information is itemized in an easy to view fashion. If you have an online shop make sure your image quality is high resolution and that you can do simple things like enlarge the images or zoom in. Sometimes it’s the smaller details that can make the biggest difference to your website.

You are not showing up on popular search engines

You may have a fantastic website with some amazing images and an easy to use menu. It may be the perfect place for someone to buy the product they need, but if that potential customer doesn’t know you exist, it is all for nothing. This is why you need to consider your digital presence and being reachable through search engines. One top tip is to consider focusing on search engine optimization. It may seem time consuming to build up links to your website on other websites, providing quality backlinks making search engines like Google or Bing see your website as “important”. Which is why you can use software like scrapebox that can do the hard work for you? If you are unsure take a look through some of the scrapebox reviews online to see how much seo could transform your ranking on search engines.

You haven’t linked your social media platforms

Social media is a great way to engage with your customers, but not linking them to your website is a big mistake. How else is someone who has seen your Facebook status on your page going to make their way to your website and potentially make a purchase? Linking your website and social media channels is an easy thing to fix, so don’t delay and get straight to it.

It isn’t relevant

Finally, if your website isn’t relevant or up to date, then you could be heading for huge problems with mis-advertising. Always ensure that the products you sell are listed correctly, and pricing and copy is correct. Also be mindful of grammatical errors in your work. This can be frustrating for someone looking at your website wanting to purchase your product or service.
