Arctic Monkeys still top Alternative Rock Chart with ‘Do I Wanna Know’

TAMPA ROCK MUSIC EXAMINER: The Arctic Monkeys celebrate their ninth week at Number One on the Alternative Rock Chart with “Do I Wanna Know?”. The song holds onto a huge lead over the number two track, Cage The Elephants “Come A Little Closer”.

arctic-monkeysThe Arctic Monkeys’ single loses just 290,000 impressions compared to the previous week to finish with 14.222 million impressions between March 16 and March 22. Meanwhile, the Cage The Elephants’ track lost a substantial 987,000 impressions from the last chart week, and only received 10.442 million impressions.

The difference rate of accumulating impressions over the past week gives “Do I Wanna Know?” a remarkable 3.78 million lead over “Come A Little Closer”. Due to this unusually large airplay/impression advantage over the rest of the songs at Alternative Rock radio, the Arctic Monkeys seem to be a safe bet to earn at least two more weeks at Number One on the Alternative Rock Chart.
