Anthony Mackie says ‘Captain America The Winter Soldier’ tougher shoot than ‘Hurt Locker,’ Chris Evans ‘a stud’
While Thor: The Dark World arrives in theaters, fans may already be looking ahead to the next Marvel film: Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Star Anthony Mackie talks with USA Today reflecting on the shoot, Chris Evans and that the shoot went well.
“(The shoot) went amazingly well. It’s kind of Avengers 1.5. Everyone came up and worked. The action stuff is amazing. It was 10 times tougher shooting Captain America (than The Hurt Locker). I’d never done anything like that. Oh no, a plane is coming at you, you’re scared!” says Mackie.
The Real Steel co-star had to discuss Chris Evans, who returns as Steve Rogers aka Captain America, and his role as Falcon.
“It gives Chris Evans that stud role that I wanted it to be for him. He looks like a stud. As my friend, I can look at it and say, ‘That’s it,’ ” says Mackie.
He really didn’t have much to say about his action figure, just that it will be released.
“There’s going to be a little plastic me floating around, yes,” he says.
