Ann Romney rallies Florida supporters in Largo speech
Only a short time has passed since Ann Romney’s compelling speech in support of her husband, GOP nominee Mitt Romney. Ann was back in Florida Wednesday afternoon talking to supporters at the Largo Community Center.
“There are 23 million Americans who need help,” she said. “Help is on the way. … This man will not fail. He’s going to be the one who will turn the key to this economic engine and get this country going again.”
Romney repeated the sentiment from the RNC, pulling on the audience’s heart strings while discussing her personal struggles with breast cancer and multiple sclerosis, describing how her husband stood by her side.
“This is a guy who really cares.”
“We believe in America. We know this man won’t fail. He is going to turn the key to the economic engine and get this country going again,” she said.
Approximately 500 supporters were on-hand for the event, most of them were women, all enduring Kid Rock’s “Born Free” which appears to be the Romney campaign anthem.
“I loved how she loves her husband,” said Allison Schick of St. Petersburg told the Patch. “We should really be united and love one another. … I loved how she loves the Lord.”
