Anjem Choudary, Muslim extremist, leads march on US Embassy in London, burns flag
Muslim cleric Anjem Choudary led an angry flag-burning protest outside the US embassy in London today, citing the Muhammad video which has sparks attacks on other US Embassies in the world.
Labeled a “hate-preacher” and “firebrand” by the Daily Mail, Choudary is a vocal supporter of the 9/11 attack and appears to be key to rallying the Islamists to attack the US Embassy in London, burning the US flag.
“Burn Burn USA” was the chant as the American flag was set on fire.
Choudary has ties to al-Muhajiroun and Islam4UKorganisations, two extreme Islamic hardliner organizations and now speaks for Muslims Against Crusades group.
“Islam will dominate the world” was the follow up as an Israeli flag was set aflame.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: “About 150 people marched from central London mosque to the US Embassy. They had dispersed at about 4.30pm. Two people were arrested for public order offences.”
, the group then set fire to an Israeli flag.
Scotland Yard said two people were arrested at the scene but would not reveal why. It is understood one was in relation to flag burning.
Choudary is the former UK leader of the al-Muhajiroun and Islam4UKorganisations – both of which have been outlawed under the Terrorism Act. He now acts as spokesman for the extremist Muslims Against Crusades group.
