‘American Horror Story’ star Francis Conroy set to return for ‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8 will Ralph Macchio

While fans don’t know yet if they are going to be seeing either John Lithgow or Wayne Brady return this season as Barney’s father or half-brother, the upcoming 22nd episode of this season (airing on Monday, April 29) is going to once again feature the return of his mother.

Barney and mother Francis Conroy How I Met Your Mother photo Frances Conroy, certainly busy with roles on American Horror Story and Royal Pains, but will be make atleast one more appearance on How I Met Your Mother.

She will be joined by someone rather surprising: Ralph Macchio, who is guest-starring as himself.

This episode is entitled “The Bro Mitzvah,” will feature Barney heading back to Atlantic City.

Two more episodes follow to conclude the season.
