Talking with Dispatch Radio, the pair detail how the idea began, how Caesar came alive, noting the side reference back in Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, which became a Moses story.

Confirming more details, Amanda explains how Dawn is ten years after Rise, Caesar has a family and is a father now. The apes are even more organized, writing and teaching their children.

Even the writers amazed at the technology, the performance by Andy Serkis and how much more detail there is in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes compared to the previous film.

Rick says they are huge fans themselves of the original films and the greatest compliment is hearing that fans are pleased with the new films.

The interview is a must for fans of the franchise.
