‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 spoilers: Luke Mitchell promoted to series regular
Fans of Lincoln on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD will be happy with the news that they are going to get a chance to see a whole lot more of him moving forward. The Tomorrow People star has officially been confirmed as a series regular for the upcoming third season.
Mitchell has excelled in action sequences and allows for Skye (Chloe Bennet) to have at least one other person around who can understand her Inhuman storyline.
“Luke proved a valuable addition to our cast in Season 2, and after seeing him light up the screen with his charisma we knew we had to have him back for more,” said Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb. “Our writers have come up with big plans for the character of Lincoln in our next season, and we can’t wait for fans to see everything we have in store.”
Nick Blood and Adrianne Palicki will also return with Clark Gregg, Elizabeth Henstridge, and Brett Dalton, who will prove to be a more volatile villain in season 3.
The third season of the series does not have an official premiere date, but the scheduling pattern points to a premiere at or around the 22nd of September or the following week.
Filming begins this summer and SDCC will certainly provide additional updates, so stay tuned.
