ABC’s ‘Nightline’ calls SCOTUS pick ‘controversial’ before it was even announced

ABC News’ “Nightline” made an announcement about President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee on Monday night before the pick had even been announced, calling the unknown nominee “controversial.”

ABC News description of the nominee being “controversial” came before the 9 p.m. announcement.

It was corrected to state: “CORRECTION: Tonight on Nightline, reports on the controversy surrounding the Supreme Court Justice pick and the possible implications for the country.”

The tweet from ABC News drew widespread criticism for its obvious bias:

MRC’s Rich Noyes noted on Monday, networks routinely label “conservative” judges and skimp on “liberal” labels for Democratic nominees.
