Abbie Cobb talks ‘Moms’ Night Out,’ playing ‘90210’ ‘American Horror Story’ and ‘Warriors’
This year has proved to a highly successful one for faith-based films like God’s Not Dead, Heaven Is For Real and Son of God. Now the latest is a family friendly comedy titled Moms’ Night Out and star Abbie Cobb talked with The Global Dispatch/Dispatch Radio about the film.
“Bridgette is a teenager, single mom,” Abbie says of her character. “I’ve never quite done anything like that before.”
In the story, Allyson (Sarah Drew) and her friends long for a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and talk–a long-overdue “moms’ night out.” But to indulge in high heels, adult conversation, and not having to cut anyone else’s meat, their husbands will need to watch the kids for a few hours. What could go wrong?
Abbie details the story, what the production was like and how she feel audiences will embrace the film.
From roles on 90210 and American Horror Story, Cobb reflects on getting to play the “mean girl” or the “dansel in distress” as well as what she has learned along the way as an actress.
In fact, Abbie has already written a book, titled Stuck On A Ferris Wheel, and she explains the premise, capturing her experiences on paper and how she hopes it can help folks.
She discusses her downtime, a new pilot and who has given her some great advice.
