3 Ways to Make Cash Back While You Shop
It may seem like a pretty strange and unbelievable concept that you can actually get cash back while you spend you own money, but there really are ways that you can do this. Whether it’s through the use of your credit card, a mobile app, a membership scheme or other weird and wonderful way—there really are options where you can get back some of the money that you spend while you shop.
Don’t be fooled into thinking, however, that these are simply options where you get cash back from doing nothing. Most of them are incentive driven and may require you to spend more money than you usually would shopping. But if you look at all the schemes comprehensively and make sure that you are buying products that you actually need—then cash back options could be a really great way to save a bit of your hard earned cash.
Here are some ways to earn cash back while you shop:
Cash-back credit cards
There is such as thing as a cash back credit card, where you will get around 0.3% back on every dollar you spend. However, you should keep in mind that every policy is unique and you should find the most ideal one for your shopping habits. Some cards will give you cash back on many purchases, while others will only cover specific items, such as petrol.
Some of these cards have fees attached- so it’s also a good idea to look into this first. Remember that you should only get a credit card if you are able to pay the money back in full every month, or you will lose money on your cash-back. It’s also best to avoid credit cards if you think it will push you to spend much more money a month than you usually do.

Cash-back websites
There are a number of websites that act as the middleman between you and the companies that you shop with. These websites are affiliated with particular businesses and when you buy through their website, you stand to get money back—basically you will earn a percentage of the commission. Some good examples of this are Quidco and Topcashback. You could earn anything from couple of dollars when clothes shopping, to hundreds of dollars for changing a phone contract.
Cash-back memberships
There are some very popular and effective cash-back memberships that pay you a percentage back of the money that you used shopping. A good example of this kind of scheme is a company such as Saivain, which is can give users up to 20% cash-back in one month on their normal, everyday shopping. It is largely reliant on a referral base however, although that number is not large. The great thing is that you can choose ten of your favorite shops to get cash-back from and this includes grocery stores, garages, travel, and holiday bookings, medical stores and even online shopping. So users are not limited in where they can shop for their everyday purchases.
